Toward is a modular system designed to fit in a variety of spaces and support the diverse needs environments may require. Toward blends nature-inspired curves with linear design and explores how function, style, and comfort intersect.

The extensive modular system gives you the flexibility to build the shape your space needs and the expansive functionality of Toward allows the user to utilize every aspect of it to their advantage. The movable armrests allow the user to either create personal space, collaborate with the person next to them or even create a personal lap desk when you flip them over. Every detail of Toward has been designed to perfection.

Toward began as Anne’s student project in 2012, embracing how humans will use furniture over the next decade. From there it became a single personal use sofa with Erik Jorgensen in the late 2010s, and now after a complete redesign with the Hightower Studio design team, Toward has finally reached its end goal. A sustainable, built-to-last modular collection that supports a diverse set of users and needs.
