Toward is a modular system designed to fit a variety of spaces and support the diverse needs each environment may require.
Toward blends nature-inspired curves with linear design and explores how function, style, and comfort intersect.
This extensive modular system offers the flexibility to shape your space as needed, while the expansive functionality of Toward allows users to utilize every aspect to their advantage. The movable armrests enable users to create personal space, collaborate with those nearby, or even form a personal lap desk by flipping them over. Every detail of Toward has been meticulously designed for perfection.
Toward began as my student project in 2012, exploring how humans will interact with furniture over the next decade. It evolved into a personal-use sofa with Erik Jorgensen in the late 2010s, and after a complete redesign with the Hightower Studio design team, Toward has finally reached its ultimate goal: a sustainable, built-to-last modular collection that supports a diverse range of users and needs.
