Kvadrat Really Module

“The modular design functions as a living materials library in Kvadrat’s showroom, and builds on the sustainability narrative by presenting new ways of thinking about construction and recycling.”

With the Kvadrat Really Module, the goal was to bring new life to Kvadrat Really Melamine, drawing inspiration from the world of architecture. The design uses simple, dynamic shapes to create a 360-degree view of the material, appealing to architects, designers, and manufacturers who appreciate clean lines and thoughtful forms.

The modular design functions as a living materials library in Kvadrat’s showroom, showcasing new ways to think about construction and recycling. Consisting of three modules, the design integrates a tabletop, drawer, and shelf space in a sculptural, interactive arrangement. At first glance, it may seem simple, but closer inspection reveals the unique qualities of Kvadrat Really.

The modules demonstrate multiple processing options—ideal for applications like cabinets, folded constructions, shelves, and tabletops. My goal is to make the complex simple and playful. The materials library invites visitors to explore the strength and versatility of Kvadrat Really, finding inspiration in how to use and process these innovative textile sheets.

Rooted in sustainability, the design maximizes material usage, reducing waste while maintaining functionality. The modules can be rearranged and expanded, offering flexibility for anything from commercial use to sculptural room dividers, all while supporting the circular-cycle principles of Kvadrat Really.
